Dear Colleagues,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 26th annual meeting of the Swiss Stroke Society. The meeting will take place at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne in Lucerne on January 25^th , 2024 followed by the Stroke Trialist’s Meeting and the 6th Interprofessional Stroke Symposium for Nursing and Therapy on the 26th^th of January 2024.
The Swiss Stroke Society Meeting 2024 will give an update of secondary prevention in atherosclerosis and also focus on new scientific developments (and also some controversies) in acute treatment of stroke patients. To round the meeting off, we plan a neurorehabilitation session, discussing the prognosis of young stroke patients and a case-based interprofessional discussion about difficult ethical situations in stroke care.
The satellite symposium about treatment of diabetes and noac-associated intracerebral hemorrhages will further enrich the programm.
The Interprofessional Stroke Symposium for Nursing and Therapy comes up with a truly multiprofessional approach with a special emphasis on cognitive complications of stroke, which should appeal to this broad audience involved in the treatment of stroke patients.
